Gretchen Cahana is a Certified Physician Assistant with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She received her Bachelor of Arts from John Carroll University in Ohio in 2001 and went to the University of New Mexico for her Physician Assistant training. Before joining our practice in early 2016, she worked in Interventional Cardiology in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Gretchen loves working with her patients and strongly believes in providing patient-centered care. Her interests include coronary artery disease, heart failure, and preventative cardiology. Outside of work, Gretchen enjoys spending time with her family and exploring Maui.
Dr. Woodworth is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, and did his Internal Medicine residency at Kaiser Hospital in Hollywood, California. He completed his Cardiology fellowship at the University of California, Davis Medical Center and Veterans' Administration Medical Center in Martinez, California. Dr. Woodworth's special interests include coronary intervention and echocardiography.
The following physicians are outstanding in every regard and have vast experience in caring for patients. They are from Cardiovascular Consultants, a 23 person Cardiology group in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are privileged to have them part-time in our practice. This allows us to occasionally have extended weekday hours and weekend clinic appointments available.
Dr. Terry is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He was an undergraduate at University of California, Berkeley and went to medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Washington and did his Cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. For 37 years, Dr. Terry has been an Interventional Cardiologist with Cardiovascular Consultants, a 23 person Cardiology group in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dr. Gwynn is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Assocation Counsel on Clinical Cardiology. He is a graduate of Stanford University and Cornell Medical School. He performed his Internal Medicine and Cardiology fellowship at New York Hospital and at University of California, San Francisco Medical Center.
Dr. Gwynn has been active in the catheter treatment of vascular blockages in the heart, legs, kidneys, and head, as well as transcatheter invasive treatment of structural heart disease. He has also been active in non-invasive cardiac procedures and for many years was director of a non-invasive laboratory at Summit Medical Center in Oakland, California.
Natalie Colome is a Physician Assistant from Miami, Florida and is certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She attended Florida International University and completed her certification at Miami Dade College, also training at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. After completing her certification, she worked for a Clinical Cardiologist in Miami until one of her lifelong goals was realized and flew over 5000 miles to Maui and joined our practice in 2012.
Natalie's passion for medicine and health is exemplary. She spends quality time with her patients and has been fully dedicated to their well-being. She specializes in Cardiology and has a broad understanding in various medical disciplines. Her favorite topics include nutrition, risk factor modification, mental health, and exercise for physical health. She is an avid surfer, skim boarder, and ocean enthusiast.
Dr. Muto was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1993, Cardiovascular Diseases in 1990, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and performed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at the University of California Davis, the Veterans' Administration Center and the Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 1993. In addition, he has completed specialized programs in balloon angioplasty to the heart and extremities, permanent pacemaker placement, and nuclear sound scanning.
Now, Dr. Muto mainly specializes in out-patient preventative and clinical Cardiology and has been practicing in Maui since 1996. He refers his patients for hospitalization and interventional procedures to Maui Memorial Medical Center, Queen's Medical Center, Straub Hospital, Stanford Medical Center, Cedar-Sinai Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic Medical Center Rochester, and Mayo Clinic Arizona. He's known for spending a great deal of time with his patients and managing complex problems.
